Copyright and takedown policy
How we respect copyright, and how to report content you believe infringes yours.
Last updated October 25, 2026
How we handle copyright
- We write our own articles. We never copy other publishers’ text; we report facts and link to the original source.
- Short quotations are attributed and used for news reporting and commentary.
- Photos are licensed or used under free licences (such as the Unsplash licence) and credited in the caption.
Report content that infringes your copyright
If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, email hello@thedailysummit.com with the subject “Copyright complaint” and include:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the work you own, with a link or copy if possible;
- the exact page address (URL) on our site and what on it you believe infringes;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you own, or are authorised to act for the owner of, the copyright.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 working days. Where a complaint is valid we will remove or credit the material, or replace it, as quickly as we reasonably can. Notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) can be sent to the same address.
If your content was removed
If material you supplied was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to our removal email with the reasons and we will review it.
Using our content
You may share links and quote short extracts with credit and a link back. Anything more needs written permission; see our terms of use.
